AFFILIATE MARKETING TORONTO

What is an affiliate program?

Affiliate marketing is a performance-based marketing strategy in which a business rewards website publishers or “affiliates” for every visitor or customer that is a result of their marketing efforts.

Incorporating an affiliate program into your websites marketing strategy is an effective way to increase sales without a major investment. Almost all fortune 500 companies have an affiliate program with some having over 60% of their sales resulting from their affiliate program.

Amazon receives almost 80 million visitors in 1 month which is enough people to fill 60 Disneyland’s. It was also reported that almost 40% of their traffic is a result of their Amazon Associates Program which provides their affiliates with a minimum payout of only 6%.

An affiliate program can be beneficial to almost any website if executed correctly. Not only will it increase traffic and sales to your website but can also provide the added benefit of SEO from backlinks generated from affiliate marketers.

How Does Affiliate Marketing Work?

Website publishers or webmasters signup to your affiliate program. Once logged into their dashboard they will have access to all creative/banners and/or unique tracking links that they can place on their own web sites. When a customer is generated as a result of their marketing efforts, they will earn a commission set by the advertiser.

5 Super Easy Ways To Fix Broken Links

Aside from causing usability issues, broken links has been debated by SEO experts as to whether they impact search rankings. In my opinion, I don't believe having a few broken links can hurt your search rankings which is typically quite common on larger websites. For example Wikipedia which is also one of the most highly ranked websites in the world and filled with broken links. How's their search rankings? Google crawls through linked pages and when a broken link is detected this can stop Google from finding additional linked pages. If pages aren't crawled then they will unfortunately not be visible in the search results. From a usability perspective it's important for users not to encounter broken links as it may cause them to leave your website. From Google's perspective when users leave your website this can impact your search rankings as well as it tells Google that the user [...]

5 Super Important Website Tips You Can’t Ignore

It amazes me that in 2017 there are still several major corporations and businesses who choose not to address major issues with their websites that affect usability and search ranking. As someone who regularly provides site audits, I thought I share 5 major factors that every website owner should address. I do believe many companies still don't take their websites as serious as they should. Having a well developed website can generate more leads for your business and if you're not constantly improving your online presence than your competitors who likely are, are the ones reaping all the rewards including better search ranking. 1. Make your website mobile friendly Mobile search has officially surpassed desktop search yet there are still companies with websites that are not mobile friendly. With WordPress becoming the most widely used content management system and now making up almost 1/4 of websites on the internet it [...]

Converting an HTML website to WordPress

As a personal favor I'm currently working on a project for my wife's uncle who owns a surprisingly popular crime news website. The site is filled with tons of interesting content but unfortunately the site has some major issues some of which include: Not built using a CMS (content management system) - Most websites are developed in WordPress for numerous reasons. One obvious one is that it makes managing a website REALLY easy. Poor Design - All pages use HTML tables which are rarely used anymore and have a fixed to 750px wide. When you create a page that built with a fixed with that leads to my next major issue.. NOT mobile friendly - Fact is, mobile search has surpassed desktop search as of this year so it's extremely important to have a responsive design that can work on different mobile devices/tablets. Part of the site is hosted on [...]
